Product Description
The CMC CA 146 is a high-performance, single-port mechanical terminal lug engineered for reliable power distribution. Manufactured by Connector Mfg. Co. (a Hubbell Power Systems brand), this lug is precision-crafted from high-strength 6061-T6 aluminum alloy. It is designed to handle a versatile range of conductors from 6 AWG up to 2/0 AWG, making it an essential component for panelboards, switchgear, and industrial control panels.
Equipped with the patented PosiGrip™ design, the CA 146 features a positive wire stop and specialized screw threading. This technology maintains consistent pressure on the conductor and helps prevent the reformation of resistive oxides. The entire body is electro-tin plated to ensure maximum conductivity and a long service life in corrosive environments.

✅ Key Features & Benefits
-
PosiGrip™ Technology: Patented screw threading ensures the conductor remains secure under thermal cycling and prevents oxide build-up.
-
Dual-Metal Certified: Safe for use with both copper (Cu) and aluminum (Al) wires, reducing the risk of galvanic corrosion.
-
Mechanical Simplicity: No specialized crimping tools required. Features a rugged mechanical set-screw that can be tightened with a standard hex or Allen wrench.
-
Sustainable & Reusable: Unlike compression lugs, these mechanical connectors are designed for multiple uses, making them ideal for temporary power or system reconfigurations.
-
Corrosion Protection: The electro-tin plating provides a durable barrier against atmospheric elements, maintaining low contact resistance.
