Product Description
The CMC LI-125 is a high-performance, single-port mechanical lay-in lug engineered specifically for rapid grounding and bonding applications. Manufactured by Connector Mfg. Co. (a Hubbell Power Systems brand), this lug features a specialized "open-face" entry. This unique design allows a continuous loop of grounding wire to be "laid in" to the connector without cutting or breaking the conductor—an essential feature for maintaining electrical continuity in long grounding runs and solar array bonding.
Precision-machined from high-strength 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, the LI-125 is dual-rated (CU9AL) to safely accommodate both copper and aluminum conductors. The entire body is electro-tin plated, providing superior conductivity and defense against corrosion in both indoor and outdoor electrical environments.

✅ Key Features & Benefits
-
Continuous Loop Bonding: The lay-in design eliminates the need to cut conductors, significantly reducing installation time and preserving the integrity of the grounding circuit.
-
Bimetallic Compatibility: Specifically engineered to handle both copper and aluminum wire safely, preventing the chemical reactions that lead to grounding failures.
-
High-Strength Extrusion: Built from extruded 6061-T6 alloy, providing significantly higher yield strength than cast lugs for superior mechanical grip and longevity.
-
Corrosion Shield: Premium tin plating ensures the lug remains effective in damp or outdoor environments, maintaining low contact resistance for grounding paths.
-
Simple Installation: No specialized crimp tools required; the mechanical set-screw can be tightened with a standard screwdriver or hex wrench.
