Product Description
The ILSCO D2799 is an industrial-grade, single-barrel mechanical terminal lug engineered for high-capacity power distribution. Precision-machined from high-strength 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, this lug is designed to terminate massive conductors ranging from 4 AWG up to 600 kcmil (MCM). It is a critical component for terminating large feeders in switchgear, transformer secondary connections, and industrial control panels.
Every D2799 is electro-tin plated to ensure exceptionally low contact resistance and to provide a permanent barrier against atmospheric and galvanic corrosion. As a dual-rated (AL9CU) connector, it is certified for the safe termination of both copper and aluminum conductors at operating temperatures up to 90°C.

Key Features & Benefits
-
Massive Versatility: A single lug covers the entire range from small 4 AWG branch circuits to heavy 600 MCM main feeders, simplifying project inventory.
-
High-Voltage Ready: Certified for high-voltage environments up to 35kV when installed with proper spacing and insulation per NEC guidelines.
-
Mechanical Reliability: Features a rugged set-screw that provides high-clamping force using a standard internal hex drive—eliminating the need for expensive hydraulic crimping tools.
-
Bimetallic Safety: Specifically treated to prevent galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals, making it safe for copper-to-aluminum transitions.
-
Sustainable & Reusable: Unlike compression lugs, these mechanical connectors are designed to be reusable for maintenance or system upgrades.
